Silk

The best of all silks - Mulberry Silk

Amongst all the various types of silk, Mulberry silk is one of the finest in the world. Made by silkworms that feed only on mulberry leaves, the silk produced is more refined than other types of silks, due to its pure white colour and long individual fibres. Products that are made of 100% Mulberry silk are very durable and are a luxury good.

Hydrating and gentle on the skin

Mulberry silk contains 18 essential amino acids that are known to naturally aid in countering the effects of ageing, whilst helping to retain moisture in the skin. Unlike other textile fibres, silk has a soft and smooth texture that glides across delicate skin, lessening the pressure and friction on the surface of your face, and in turn reduce tugging that helps to prevent wrinkles and creasing on your face. Silk is also naturally hydrating as it helps to keep moisture close the the skin, as opposed to other fabrics which absorb the skin's natural moisture.

Natural, odourless, antibacterial and hypoallergenic

100% natural, odourless and hypoallergenic, Mulberry silk contains sericin, a protein that has a natural resistance to dust mites, fungus and mould, thus lowering the possibility of allergic reactions.

Breathable

As silk is a natural fibre, its temperature-regulating properties helps the skin to breathe. For some masks, breathing through them can cause sweat on the face, however silk can help to absorb excess sweat and moisture, whilst also minimising irritation.

Sustainable and eco-friendly

You can breathe easy, knowing that our Silk Protective Face Masks are made sustainably from high quality upcycled silk. Many high end fashion companies purchase fabric that they never end up using, and instead of disposing them into landfill, we have repurposed these fabrics to produce soft, silky protective face masks. In addition to this, our silk face masks are reusable and can be washed up to 20 times and more. Sustainably produced for sustainable use.
